2012 Kawasaki KLX250S Review
2012 Kawasaki KLX250S Review
Built for both on-and off-road use, the light and nimble KLX250S is an ideal ride for dual-sporting fun. The rigors of off-road motorcycling dictate additional protection for the exposed underside of the machine, so the KLX250S comes standard with an aluminum engine guard to protect its crankcase during off-road adventures. Negotiating tight terrain also highlights another off-road reality – heat. The 43mm inverted cartridge-style front fork features 16-way adjustable compression damping and 10.0-inches of travel. Strong, 4mm-thick spokes in the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels provide excellent rigidity for enhanced off-road durability. The KLX250S also stops hard, thanks to twin-piston calipers squeezing a 250mm semi-floating petal-shaped disc up front and a 240mm petal-shaped disc at the rear.
The latest and greatest KLX250S features unbelievable off road performance and real KLX heritage making it an awesome on or off road machine.

Kawasaki KLX 150 Adventure Series

Kawasaki KLX 150 Adventure Series dirt bike-style is much less convenient than the manufacturer remains the norm. This is in contrast with the Kawasaki KLX 150 alerts in 2010, which was at the garage Asep Hendro Sport (AHRS). KLX Green Berkeler typical Japanese motorcycle manufacturers are experiencing some changes in the way of adventures.

| 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 |
The heart of every naked bike is its engine, so Kawasaki engineers paid special attention here for 1043cc 16-valve inline four with dual cams. The dual-cam motor features a long stroke of 56mm for instant power, fuel injection and a six-speed transmission. Designed for the real-world streets, 2012 Kawasaki Z1000s engine creates flexible power across the rpm range, with gobs of mid-range.
Completely redesigned two years ago, 2012 Kawasaki Z1000s aggressive bodywork reveals the design teams attention to detail. The aesthetic showcase begins with a low-mount front cowl that slopes back radically, highlighting the Z’s prow and, behind it, an adjustable instrument cluster featuring a multifunction LCD display covered by a trick-looking orange lens. The line-beam headlights guts are integrated nicely into that angled cowl. Moving rearward, you come to a shapely fuel tank that’s flared on the sides to let you grab it with your knees and that’s trim at the back for a snug fit. The seat is low and narrow at the front to make ground contact easy, and flows beautifully rearward to end in a futuristically retro LED tail light behind a red lens. It’s a thoroughly athletic shape, one sure to garner attention wherever it’s ridden.
Suspension at both ends is thoroughly modern and wickedly functional: a beefy, fully adjustable 41mm inverted fork up front and a spring preload and rebound damping adjustable Uni-Trak® shock in back that’s mounted nearly horizontally above the swingarm to shield it from exhaust heat and foster an added degree of mass centralization. Wheel control is simply superb, and the substantial feedback sent to the rider makes it easy to know exactly what’s going on at the bike’s contact patches.
The chassis of the 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 features much technology, including an aluminum frame that cradles the engine from above, a design similar to the ZX-10R superbike. Built from racetrack input, this frame features a skinny mid-section, which provides much feedback to the rider.
There are other features that add to the overall aggression of the Z1000, including five-spoke wheels, shorter, 4-into-2-into-2 exhaust, a solid mount handelbar and aluminum footpegs and ninja-spec brakes.

2012 Kawasaki Z1000 Specifications/Technical Details
MSRP Price: $10,799.00
Engine
- Liquid-cooled inline-four offers substantial power at all rpm levels, providing effortless acceleration in almost any situation
- Bore and stroke dimensions of 77.0 x 56.0mm offer the best possible balance of peak power and low and mid-range flexibility
- 38mm downdraft throttle bodies allow intake air to travel to the engine in the shortest possible distance
- Oval sub-throttles help keep the engine slim - a good thing since the throttle bodies are positioned between the riders knees
- Soft rev limiter provides good overrev character; power doesnt drop off suddenly at high rpm
- The crankshaft is positioned low in the crankcase assembly to allow a longer stroke without adding engine height
- A secondary balancer, driven off a gear on the sixth web of the crankshaft, eliminates excess vibration
- The intake system routes cool air to the airbox from ducts above the radiator shrouds, minimizing performance loss due to heated intake air
- Positioning the ducts close to the rider allows the intake sound to be heard - and enjoyed - by the rider
- A resonator inside the airbox reduces noise at low rpm, and enhances intake sound at high rpm
- The exhaust system features a 4-into-2-pre-chamber-into-2 layout. Silencer end caps maintain the quad-style image
- Main and pre-catalyzers provide cleaner emissions
- Thanks to the under-engine pre-chamber, silencer volume is reduced, and silencer weight is low. Exhaust system offers excellent mass centralization and contributes to a low center of gravity
- Slim-type fuel pump features an integral fuel gauge
- Fuel tank design and slim-type fuel pump minimize unused volume inside the tank; fuel capacity is 4.0 gallons
- Aluminum backbone frame designed specifically for the Z1000 (and similar in concept to the Ninja ZX-10Rs) helps make the bike narrow and easy to grip with the knees for maximum rider comfort and feedback
- Lightweight and highly rigid, the frame uses the engine as a stressed member for a firm, planted feeling and enhanced stability
- Frame is tuned to transmit the ideal level of engine feedback directly to the rider
- The frames five-piece construction consists of steering stem, left and right main frames, and two cross pieces. The two main frame components have open C-shaped cross sections
- As much as possible, welds were eliminated for simplicity and appearance. The frame beams and swingarm brackets are now single die-cast pieces
- The frame uses four engine mounts; three mounts are rigid, while the upper rear crankcase mount is rubber
- The rear sub-frame is a three-piece aluminum die-casting construction, which is light, strong and optimizes mass centralization
- The sub-frame is an example of form and function combined, negating the need for side covers and allowing underseat narrowness for a shorter reach to the ground
- Rear suspension design positions the shock unit and linkage above the swingarm where its less exposed to exhaust heat and contributes to mass centralization
- Visible from the outside, the horizontal monoshock contributes to the Z1000s aggressive appearance
- Linkage characteristics are the same as those of a standard Uni-Trak® rear suspension: Wheel movement versus shock stroke is the same ratio
- The shock features stepless rebound damping and spring preload adjustability
- The Z1000s 41mm inverted fork is adjustable for compression damping, rebound damping and spring preload - and is protected from harm by a cool-looking shroud
- Settings are designed for both sporty performance and excellent comfort
- The tubular handlebar is rigid mounted, contributing to sharp, direct handling
- A wide, flat bend handlebar offers a design similar to those on off-road bikes for excellent control
- Tapered-type grips, like those used on supersport models, offer a more direct feel
- Ninja ZX-10R-style footpegs with knurled surfaces offer good grip, direct feel and control, and no-nonsense looks
- The passenger footpeg brackets incorporate convenient luggage hooks
- The Z1000s 300mm front petal-style brake discs are gripped by opposed four-piston radial-mount calipers. (Caliper piston size is 4x30 mm)
- A radial-pump front brake master cylinder contributes to the superb control and feel offered by these high-end calipers
- The rear brake is a single-piston, pin-slide caliper gripping a 250mm petal-style disc. The caliper is mounted below the swingarm, and located by a torque rod

2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000
![]() |
| 2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 |
2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 comes with two Power Mode selections, Full or Low, that allow riders to adjust output based on riding preference and road conditions. Low reduces power output by 25% for a milder throttle response, a boon when roads are slick because if the 1043cc mill has the same character as the Zed’s, it can spool up the rear quickly if riders aren’t careful.
Aluminium twin-tube frame design features frame beams that go over engine, allowing a narrow construction that is easy to grip with the knees. Lightweight and highly rigid, the frame uses the engine as a stressed member. The frame contributes to handling, offering a firm, planted feeling, good stability and light, nimble turning. The frame is a 5-piece cast aluminium construction, consisting of steering stem, left and right main frames, and two cross pieces. The two main frame components have open C-shaped cross sections and were die-cast to ensure a smooth surface finish.
Kawasaki has taken this fact into consideration and equipped the 2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 with Kawasaki’s Three-Mode KTRC, the same traction control system as the ZX-14R. The system on the Versys 1000 reportedly combines elements of Kawasaki’s two traction control systems, the S-KTRC and KTRC. It has three modes: Modes 1 & 2 concentrate on providing maximum acceleration while Mode 3 focuses on riding stability in adverse conditions, responding in the same manner as the KTRC system on the Concours 14. Riders can also opt to turn the system off.
Advanced ECU programming contributes to the Versys 1000’s high fuel efficiency. Careful adjustment of fuel volume and ignition timing when speed is constant improves fuel consumption without compromising driveability.
The Economical Riding Indicator appears on the LCD screen to indicate favourable fuel consumption. Paying attention to conditions that result in the mark appearing can assist riders to maximise their fuel efficiency. This handy feature is active all the time, although to be effective, the rider must ride in a gentle manner: less than 6,000 rpm, less than 30% throttle and under 160 km/h.

2012 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic Review
2012 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic Review
Packed with Style, Thrumming with Power
The system offers a natural throttle feel because the APS is activated by a throttle body pulley connected by cables to the throttle grip. That easy-reach handlebar facilitates slow-speed maneuvering and helps maximize rider confidence. Adding to the light and easy handling are suspension components matched to the Vulcan 1700 Classic’s intended mission. An elegantly simple rear swingarm with twin air-assisted shocks provides 3.1 inches of rear suspension travel, and features air spring preload and four-way rebound adjustment. Up front, a large 43mm fork offers precise steering feedback, a supple ride and 5.5 inches of travel.
The Vulcan 1700 Classic rolls on nine-spoke cast wheels that run fat, tubeless tires – 130/90 front and 170/70 rear – that complement its muscular styling. Dual 300mm front disc brakes featuring twin-piston calipers and a single 300mm rear disc brake with a two-piston caliper help bring this stylish machine to steady, powerful stops.

2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition ABS
2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition ABS Review and Specifications
2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Special Edition ABS
After years of unchallenged domination, the best-selling Kawasaki Ninja 250R sport bike had finally begun to see competition from other manufacturers. Make no mistake, it still outperformed the challengers by a significant margin on the open road, but why simply outperform them, when you can totally dominate? The new 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 thoroughly dominates its lightweight sport bike competition on the performance front, and it also significantly ups the ante for refinement, ease of use and overall practicality. Thanks to a new digital fuel injection system, a new F.C.C. clutch with assist and slipper functions, and the worlds smallest and lightest motorcycle ABS brake system, this Kawasaki Ninja 300 is the best lightweight sport bike, by far, when it comes to street riding and overall usability.
The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 sport bike is powered by a larger 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin thats tuned to deliver smooth and predictable power around town, plus excellent high-rpm performance on the highway. This upgraded engine offers significantly more performance than the Old Ninja 250, while its new digital fuel injection (DFI) system provides improved cold starting, crisp throttle response and better fuel economy than last years bike.
This new engine has nearly 50% of its parts upgraded from the previous model. In addition to its new long-stroke 296cc displacement, other engine upgrades include: new intake ports that taper from 1mm wider at the throttle body to .5mm wider at the valve seat, new 23.6mm intake valves that are 1mm larger than last year, a new cam chain that offers reduced friction, a revised 10.6:1 compression ratio that allows the use of regular gasoline and lowers operating temperatures, and new lighter pistons that feature a hard anodized coating for reduced friction and increased performance at all rpms. The underside of the pistons was also revised to more efficiently route cooling oil across their surface.
Further highlighting changes for this model, it features new, lighter piston pins to further reduce reciprocating weight and help preserve a high red line, new shorter connecting rods to offset new longer crank throws, new sleeveless "open-deck" die-cast aluminum cylinders that are 800 grams lighter and feature a friction-reducing "T-treatment" plating. It also has new thicker crankshaft balanced webs to offset the new longer crank throws, new crank journal bearings made from a stronger alloy for increased durability, new crank cases that feature improved oil passages, a new large-volume 2.4 liter oil pan with cooling fins and more ground clearance than the previous model. Topping-off the changes, a new easy-to-access cartridge type spin-on oil filter helps simplify maintenance.
New bodywork inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R super bike, provides cutting-edge styling, as well as effective heat management and superb aerodynamics. The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 not only looks great, but also features a new floating windscreen design to help minimize buffeting and provide a smoother airflow around the riders helmet.

2013 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaquero
Vaquero offers true touring-bike convenience in the form of its electronic cruise control system, conveniently operated from the right handlebar and usable at any speed between 30 and 85 mph in any of the top four gears. The cruise system can be disengaged in any of the following ways: depressing the brake lever, clutch lever, rear brake pedal, or manually turning the throttle grip past the “closed” position.
Additional touring acumen shines through the engine’s six-speed transmission with overdriven 5th and 6th gears, which contributes to a relaxed ride and excellent fuel economy at highway speeds. Power is routed to the rear wheel via a narrow carbon fiber-reinforced drive belt that has a 40-percent higher tensile strength than current Kevlar belts. And that chopped, custom-look fairing? Although lower than a traditional windshield or full fairing, it still cuts a decent-sized hole in oncoming atmosphere, giving the rider a useful still-air cocoon in which to enjoy the ride.
The intercom headset-compatible, 40-watt, twin-speaker audio system features navigation audio prompts, a three-band (FM/AM/WX) radio that is also compatible with iPods, an XM radio tuner, select GPS devices, or a CB radio unit. The audio system (and iPod) can be operated by an integrated controller on the left handlebar. In addition to volume, the rider can also adjust the bass, treble and balance levels of the system.
